Triptych Original Watercolor Painting "Footprints in the sand". Each section is 10x11" and is mounted raised from the mat and the rough edge of the Arches watercolor paper is showing. The painting is professionally framed in a natural distressed wood frame.
One of my favorite places is on the beaches of Maui, taking walks on the beautiful sand beaches, weaving in and out of the waves and leaving my footprints behind, knowing the waves would later take them away. I painted this from a photo I took, with the well-known poem in mind, "Footprints in the Sand" written by Mary Stevenson in 1939 at the age of 14.
